Leonard Roman - Class Of 1935

On October 18, 2008, Len Roman (pictured at right from the 1935 Spy) passed away at age 90. Len was born and raised in Kenosha, WI. He was the son of Edward and Olga Roman.

In 1940, he married Anona Heyden, and they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this September. They had two children, Carol & Paul Roman. Carol and her family live in Charlotte, NC. Paul preceded his father in death in 2002.

During WWII, Len served active duty in the Navy. In 1960, the family moved from WI to Sunnyvale, CA where Len worked as a cost accountant and later as a real estate broker. In addition to his wife and daughter, Len has 5 grandchildren, Ron, Chris, Michael, Becky and Ryan. He just became a great-grandfather to Savannah Lee 5 weeks ago. Len and Anona have been members of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church since 1983. Len was a wonderful husband and father who loved his family and his church. He was a sensitive man of character and principle who enjoyed sharing stories at family gatherings.

Funeral services were held on October 22, 2008 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Saratoga, CA, followed by a procession to Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose.
