Barbara Testard (Hunt) - Class Of 1947

Barbara L. Hunt, age 78, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2007, at Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on January 23, 1929, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Hazel (Johnson) Testard.  She attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.  

For twenty years Barbara was married to John Schad.  That marriage later ended in divorce.  On April 11, 1974, she was united in marriage to William D. Hunt.  

For seven years, Barbara was a recruiter for the Blood Center of Southeast Wisconsin.  She previously was employed in the business office at Family Practice Associates of Kenosha for ten years and a librarian at Gavin Central Grade School in Fox Lake, IL for ten years.  She was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church and a former member of the Kenosha Genealogy Society.  Barbara enjoyed reading a good book and researching family genealogy.  She spent many hours investigating her ancestors and searching family trees through many archives.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, William of Kenosha; four children, Jeffrey (Dawn) Schad of Byron, IL, Connie (Lester “Duke” Thompson) Schad-Thomas of Kansasville, Jeffrey (Vickie) Hunt of Kenosha and Gregg Hunt of Almond, WI; two brothers, Bob (Barbara) Testard of Bristol and Richard (Janice) Testard of Kenosha; a sister, Judy Testard of Kenosha; five grandchildren, Daniel J. Thomas, Kelly Schad, Katie Schad, Jared Hunt and David Hunt; one step-grandchild, Clay Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Heaven and Hayes Hunt; a special great-granddaughter, Michela Rose Shirland-Thomas; and a special kitty, Zoey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Lee Schad and a brother, William Testard.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Episcopal Church (5900 7th Avenue, Kenosha).  Interment followed in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
