Joann Jahnke (Huber) - Class Of 1971

Joann M. Huber, 61, of Kenosha, died unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.

A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was born on July 22, 1953, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Frances (Cantwell) Jahnke. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Bradford High School.

In 1973, in Kenosha, she was united in marriage to Alan Horgen. That union was later dissolved. In 1984, in Kenosha, she was united in marriage to Robert Huber. That union was later dissolved.

For more than 30 years Joann was employed with Chrysler Motors, retiring in 2009. During a brief layoff period from Chrysler, she continued her education at Gateway Technical College and received her nursing degree. For a short time she was employed as a registered nurse with St. Catherine's Hospital before returning to Chrysler Motors.

She was a member of the U.A.W. Local 72 Retirees. She loved animals, camping mostly in Wisconsin, boating, knitting and crocheting. Joann was an avid Denver Bronco's and country music fan, wth a special appreciation for Alan Jackson and Trace Atkins.

Joann will be remembered by her twin daughters, Stephanie (Matt Maddocks) Horgen and Jennifer Peltz, both of Kenosha; her three beautiful grandchildren, Jessica Peltz, Joel "Joey" Peltz, Jr. and Joshua Peltz; her sister, Carol Esser of Kenosha; and two nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Jahnke.

Funeral Services were held on March 9, 2015 at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, followed by entombment in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
