Judith Hammelev (Nielsen) - Class Of 1962

Judith M. Nielsen, 66, of Kenosha died July 13, 2011 at Kenosha Medical Center.  She was born on September 2, 1944 in San Bernardino, CA, the daughter of Harry W. and Jeanne M. (Norlander) Hammelev.

Judith was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Bradford High School.  She earned her nursing degree and E.E.G. Tech degree.  She married Tommy I. Nielsen on September 15, 1973 in Racine. She was employed as an E.E.G. Tech at Aurora Medical Center. Her hobbies were crocheting, cooking, genealogy, & spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband Tommy, of Kenosha; three sons:  Kai (Debbie) Nielsen of Polson, MT; Ivan (Michele) Nielsen and Kristian Nielsen, all of Kenosha; daughter Jo Andrea (Denny) Gomez of Desert Hill, AZ; and seven cherished grandchildren.  She is further survived by her dear mother, Jeanne Baron of Kenosha; two brothers:  Jeffrey (Kathy) Hammelev of Bristol and Perry Hammelev of Blanchard, ID; two half-brothers:  Robin (Mary) Hammelev of Danville, CA and Scott Hammelev of Gilroy, CA; six half-sisters:  Sharon (Jake) Hammelev-Paula of Morgan Hill, CA; Susan Hammelev-Sotelo, Karen (Rod) Hammelev-Spence, and Cindy Hammelev-Gonzalos, all of Gilroy, CA; Martha Hammelev of San Francisco, CA; and Marcia (Ole) Hammelev-Sander of Hong Kong; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held on July 18, 2001 at Kenosha Funeral Services, followed by interment in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
