Judy Wilk Meyer died September 4, 2018, in Scottsdale Ariz. She was born in Kenosha on March 28, 1942, the daughter of Bettye and Phil Wilk. Judy graduated from Bradford High School in 1960. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She was a well-loved teacher in the Elk Grove, IL School District for over 30 years and was a finalist to become a "teacher in space" for a NASA launch. She loved to fly and piloted her own airplane. She and her husband, Fred Meyer, also a pilot, flew their planes everyday possible. For many years Judy was a member of the 99s, the International Organization of Women Pilots.
Judy is survived by her sister-in-law, Joan Wilk; niece Deborah Wilk (Steve Burnham) and children, Jacob and Simon; nephew David Wilk (Lynn) and children Jackson and Audrey; her loving husband, Fred Meyer, his son Steve and grandchildren. Her brother, Michael Wilk preceded her in death.
Judy loved her family, flying and friends in Illinois and Arizona.
