Thomas T. Young - Class Of 1952

Thomas T. Young, Sr., 79, of Kenosha died on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Hospice House with his family by his side.

A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was born on December 21, 1934 and was the son of the late Cedric and Lorraine (Thelen) Young.  He attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.

On March 10, 1955, in Great Falls, MT, he was united in marriage to Martha Jean Robbins. They were blessed with 41 years of marriage.  She preceded him in death on February 19, 1997.

He was employed at Eaton Dynamatic Corporation for 36 years, retiring in 1996 as a customer service representative.

Tom was a member of the Westosha Kiwanis Club and volunteered his time at the Shalom Center.  He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed antiquing, boating and vacationing, especially with his family in beautiful Eagle River.  He was an avid gardener and liked growing beautiful flowers and keeping his yard meticulous.  Tom enjoyed having coffee with his buddies at the Corner Kitchen Family Restaurant in Twin Lakes.

He is survived by his five children, Carlene (Larry) Maday, Jamie (Randy) Miller, Pam (Guy) Lemarre, Lori (Kevin) Heckel and Roger (Sarah) Young; his 7 grandchildren, Corky (Becky) Maday, Scott Maday, Mike (Summer) Poepping, Kyle Miller, Kaci Miller, Zachary Heckel and Allison Young; 4 great grandchildren; and a sister, Robin (James) Baltch.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Young, Jr.; and a brother, James Young.

A Service of Committal with full military honors following will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 2:00PM in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
