Robert Breul - Class Of 1947

Robert Wayne "Bob" Breul, 92 years old, of Salem, WI passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at his home.  He was born June 22, 1928 in Kenosha, WI the son of the late George Russell and Emily (nèe Knobloch) Breul.  

On July 24, 1948, Bob married Lydia Anna Hrupka in Antioch, IL.  He spent his career as a tool and die maker in the manufacturing of space shuttles.  From 1953 until 1999, they owned and operated Bob's Harley Davidson in Harvard, IL before it relocated to Woodstock, IL.  He also worked closely with Walter Davidson with the Harley Davidson Company.  He was a pilot, a farmer and loved to race motorcycles, both on the flat track in the summer and on the ice in the winter months.  Bob was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Harvard, IL, serving as past Master.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Lydia; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Breul.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, December 12, 2020 with visitation beginning at 10:00AM until the start of the service at Strang Funeral Home (1055 Main St., Antioch, IL 60002).  Interment will immediately follow in Wilmot Cemetery, Wilmot, WI.  For additional information, please call 847-395-4000.  In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to Christ Lutheran Church, 24929 75th St., Salem (Paddock Lake), IL 53168.  Please sign the online guestbook for Bob at www.strangfh.com.
