DeForrest Waller - Class Of 1942

DeForrest More Waller, age 85, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Kenosha Hospital.  He was born on July 2, 1921 to the late Robert and Laurel (Parker) Waller in Chippewa Falls, WI.  He entered the U.S. Army on August 28, 1942 and was honorably discharged on January 30, 1946.  He received the ATO Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal.  On September 4, 1948 he married Frances L. Lobacz at St. Casimir's Catholic Church in Kenosha.

DeForrest went to UWM and graduated in 1950, then to Northwestern University, graduating with a Master’s Degree in 1953.  DeForrest was an elementary and Junior High teacher in Milwaukee.  He retired as a guidance counselor from Pulaski High School July 1, 1986.

Deforrest is survived by his wife, Frances, of Kenosha and his sister-in-law, Stella Witt, of Kenosha. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Marie Kastman and Nancy Dinegan.

Funeral Services for Deforrest will be held on Monday, January 8, at 11:00AM, at the Bruch Funeral Home.  Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
