Roma Beaudin (Gement) - Class Of 1939

Roma Elaine Gement, 93, passed away at Saint Catherine’s Medical Center in Kenosha on Monday, January 5, 2015.

She was born in Kenosha on August 18, 1921, the daughter of the late Leonard and Anna (nee: Frost) Beaudin.  Roma graduated from Kenosha High School. On March 21, 1942, she was married to Henry B. Gement.

Roma spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family, and was proud to have raised four successful children.  In her free time she enjoyed travelling and playing the piano and organ, which she taught for 14 years.  Most of all, she loved being in the presence of her family.  Roma was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sons, Richard (Donna) Gement of Houston, Ted Gement of Kenosha, and David (Jodi) Gement of Paddock Lake; grandchildren Vicky, Cheryl, Diane, Mark, Robert, Trevor, Timothy, Tara, Grace, Jacob and Nicholas.  She is further survived by many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; and her daughter Barbara Emerson.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Roma will be held in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (6400 Spring Street, Racine) on Saturday, January 10, 2015, beginning at 10:00AM.  Visitation will begin in the church at 9:00AM.  Private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorials to St. Paul's Human Concerns Outreach (6400 Spring Street, Racine, WI 53406) have been suggested.
