Elizabeth Niccolai - Class Of 1936

Elizabeth J. Niccolai, a resident of Kenosha, died March 30, 2014.  She was born on April 15, 1918, in Woodstock, IL. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Caroline (Franceschi) Niccolai. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.

She was an Army nurse stationed in England and then retired from Downey Veterans Hospital of Great Lakes, IL.

Elizabeth was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.  She traveled extensively with good friends; and being an avid sports fan, especially baseball, took many nieces and nephews to games as recent as the Brewers. She was also a great photographer and took many slides and pictures of her travels and family.

Elizabeth is survived by one sister, Lillian Hartnell of Kenosha; and a sister-in-law, Norma Niccolai of Burlington. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Marguerite and Mary, and five brothers Albert, Edward, Frank, Peter and Alfred, and a very dear friend, Dolores Mitchell.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on April 4, 2014 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church.  Interment was private.
