Marie Anderson (Hoffmann) - Class Of 1931

Marie G. Hoffmann, 91, passed away on March 9, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical Center.

She was born in Jamestown, NY on August 15, 1914, to Robert and Doris (nee: Nelson) Anderson.  On December 27, 1941, Marie was united in marriage to James P. Hoffmann at the First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha.

She was a 1931 graduate of Kenosha High School.

During Marie's working career she was a Secretary for Wisconsin Gas and Electric in Kenosha, the United States Government during World War II, Racine City Hall and Litton Industries.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, Patricia Demos, Karen (Dean) Theos, Carol (John) Ziemelis, John (Ruth) Hoffmann, Kathy (Morgan) Jennings, Nancy (Stern) Gerber, Joy (Gregory) Hildeman and James (Leslie) Christensen; and dear friends Roger and Barbara Nunet.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sr. in February 1996; and son, James P. Hoffmann, Jr. on November 17, 1999.

Funeral services were held at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on March 12, 2006, with Rev. Karen Kastler officiating, followed by private burial  at West Lawn Memorial Park.
