Robert J. Herolt - Class Of 1956

      A memorial service for Robert PeeWee Herolt, 76, of Marshall, Texas, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the American Legion in Marshall. There will also be a memorial service 3 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015, at the VFW 10373 in Jefferson, Texas. Mr. Herolt passed away March 26, 2015, in Shreveport, La. Arrangements are under the direction of Downs Funeral Home.
     He was born September 7, 1938, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Otto Edward Herolt and Mary Ann Koblinski Herolt. Mr. Herolt served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years. He was also a mail carrier for U.S.P.S. Mr. Herolt married Thelma Jean Jameson.
     He was a life member of the American Legion Post 267 in Marshall and was Post Commander in 2001-2002. He was also a member of the American Legion Riders, D.A.V., Vietnam Vets of America, VFW Post 10373 in Jefferson, Veterans Honor Guard at the VFW Post 4002 in Longview and a member of the Patriot Guard.
     Mr. Herolt is survived by his wife, Jean Herolt of Marshall; son, Scott Andrew Herolt of Marshall; adopted daughter, Theresa C. Herolt of Marshall; siblings, Linda Duberstein and husband, Don, of Iola, Wis., Pat Schultz and husband, Dennis, of Kenosha, Wis., and William "Bill" Herolt and wife, Ann, of North Carolina; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
     Mr. Herolt was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Phyllis Pauley.
