Robert E. Anderson - Class Of 1937

Robert Elmer Anderson, 94, passed away on January 30, 2014, at home in Abilene, Texas.  

Robert was born Aug. 9, 1919, in Bristol, WI to Hazel (Parson) and Floyd Anderson. He graduated from Kenosha High School in 1937. Robert was drafted into service in 1941 and served in the 802nd Army Aviation Engineers during World War II. Upon his return from the Pacific he married Eleanore Seelman on April 6, 1946.

Robert was also employed at Badger Press for 40 years until retiring in 1986. He moved to Lakeland, Fla., in 1989 until coming to live with family in Abilene, Texas.  Robert enjoyed this time of life with his family as he was able to watch his grandsons grow into young men.  

Survivors include his son, Robert of Abilene; grandsons, Tomas and Michael Venegas-Anderson, also of Abilene; along with many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Floyd and Leroy, and wife of 41 years, Eleanore.

A graveside service was held on June 17, 2014 at Sunset Ridge Cemetery.
