IN MEMORY

Henry Gulbransen - Class Of 1943

Henry Gerald Gulbransen was born June 12, 1925, and died June 12, 2012.  Henry has two surviving brothers, Robert and Chuck.  He was preceded in death by his sisters, Cynthia and Sis; and his brothers, Rich and Gene.

Henry celebrated his 63rd wedding anniversary on June 11 with the love of his life, Angenette (nee Topfer).  They have three children, Donna (William) Waln, Jill (Scott) Bolinder and Ned (Linda).  There are 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Henry loved the Lord Jesus and his family.  He loved giving of his time, money and resources to anyone in need.  He was never rich by this world's standard, but he is now enjoying the jewels in his crown in heaven for being a giving and caring person to those in need.  Henry spent his adult life in the insurance industry.  He spent his entire life in an unhealthy love/hate relationship with the Chicago Cubs.  We are told Henry died of natural causes, but being a Cub fan certainly contributed.  Henry loved his church, was a founding member of Fountain of Life in Lombard and most recently was attending Christ the King in Batavia.

A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Church in Batavia at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 24 (Eastside Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren, Batavia). In lieu of flowers, donations may go to Care Net (care-net.org) or Christ the King Church building fund.
