Larry Weaver - Class Of 1942

Lawrence Eugene Weaver, 92, was a kind and gentle man, born St. Catherine's Hospital, Kenosha, WI on October 13, 1924, at rest December 5, 2016.

 

Larry was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a fighter pilot during WWII. After the war ended he returned to college and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He owned and operated Arlington Press in Arlington Heights, IL. A lover of song, Larry sang with the UWM chorus in Madison and with many International Barbershop choruses and quartets. He was past president of the Kenosha Chapter of SPEBSQSA. He was also a long-term member of Model A Restorers Club (MARC). He was active in several local senior centers. He loved driving and boating, debate and politics, reading and learning and singing throughout his life.

 

Larry is survived by former wife Marguerite D. Weaver; longtime companion Carol Peacock; children Mary Weaver Gouwens (Lee A. Gouwens), Dr. John T. Weaver, Dr. Ann Ch. Weaver (John Heidemann) and Paul E. Weaver; grandchildren Sarah, Thomas and Kenneth Gouwens, along with many beloved nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and their spouses.

 

Larry was preceded in death by his brother Eugene Weaver; and his sister June Weaver Shwaiko, and lifelong friend Alex Shwaiko. He will be missed by all who knew him.
