Nancy Anderson (Gunn) - Class Of 1946

Nancy Anita Gunn (nee Anderson), 85, passed away on November 26, 2013, at her home in Boynton Beach, FL.  She was born on October 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Mary Elvira and Harold Vladimir Anderson in Kenosha, WI. 

Nancy was lifetime friends with Betty Beaumier, Joyce Simo and Loretta Mikula.  She graduated from Bradford High School in 1946 and Washington University School of Business Class of 1951.She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.  On May 7, 1960, in Chicago, IL, she was united in marriage to James B. Gunn.

Nancy was employed as a buyer for Carson Pirie Scott, owner of Gunn’s Coin Laundry & Viking Cleaners and was also employed as a real estate agent.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen L. Gunn Whetsell (Charles G. Whetsell) of Boynton Beach; granddaughter, Savannah K. Whetsell of New York City, NY; and a cousin, Nancy Danielson of Oneonta, NY.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James.

Funeral services were held on November 30, 2013 at Dorsey & E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens, Lake Worth, FL, followed by interment in Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
