Geraldine Bauschelt (Forrer) - Class Of 1942

Geraldine B. Forrer 85, beloved wife and mother, passed away on June 20, 2010.  She and her husband, Graydon R. Forrer, MD, were residents of  the La Rosa Health Care Facility in Tucson and were married for 56 years as of June 19, 2010.

Mrs. Forrer was born Geraldine Bauschelt in Kenosha, Wisconsin on January 2, 1925. She trained as a registered nurse at the Michael Reese School of Nursing in Chicago, IL. She later earned a BA Degree in sociology in 1981 at the University of Michigan in Flint. Throughout her life she was an avid athlete, excelling at both tennis and golf.

Geraldine and her husband were also avid travelers who visited many parts of the globe. They were longtime residents of Flint, Michigan. After leaving the Flint area in 1987, they moved first to Anchorage, Alaska and finally retired in Tucson, Arizona.

She is survived by her loving husband; her sons and their families:  Dr. Scott Christopher Forrer, his wife Victoria LaSala and two grandsons, Juan Carlos and Esteban, all of Tucson, AZ; Graydon John Forrer and his wife, Julie Lloyd of Washington, DC; and Phillip Forrer and Norma Watkins of Pollock Pines, CA.
